Major Renovations

Today I thought I would show a recent project on which we did some major renovations on a church property.  The work was done for Saint Marks United Methodist Church in Mount Joy.

Here are some of the “before” pictures that were provided with the bidding documents.

Our extensive renovations included demolition of the existing elevator shaft tower and a shed structure attached to the roof.  This was quite a challenge and involved seperating these structures from the building and then lifting them off with a large crane for disposal.  The areas had to then be framed and sheathed before new roofing was installed.

We removed the cedar shingles from the mansard roofs and installed new 30 year type Architectural shingles.

On several flat roof areas, we removed the existing roofs and installed tapered roof insulation so that the roofs would drain better.  We then installed a Firestone Rubber Roof system with a 20 year manufacturer’s warranty.

On a few vertical areas we installed new vinyl siding.

This was a challenging and exciting project for us and it highlights a few of our capabilities as “the best roofers anywhere”.

Here are some pictures of the completed project.
